Connect to the wwcommunicator on first startup

A simple setup is, you log in as administrator in the wwcommunicator and send the appropriate activation links to the users.

  • Identity: Up to 5 different user accounts can be created. This is used to easily switch to different telephone systems or to easily change the mode without having to enter the user data again and again.
  • Import: Here you can enter the activation link with password.

    Audio

wwphone in Softphone or Flex Core mode requires a microphone and a speaker. We recommend a headset that is connected via a USB port. If the headset is connected directly via Bluetooth on the computer, restrictions must be expected.

  • File path: Select where to save the settings. If you want all users on the computer to use the same settings, select "For all users (local)" here. If you want users to use individual settings, select "User-specific (local)" or "User-specific (roaming)".
In roaming mode, in environments with profiles provided by the server, the data is saved back to the server. This way, you can use the same settings on all devices in your company on which you log on with the same domain user.

    Roaming

Whether roaming works correctly and whether the configuration locations are not overwritten at login depends on the settings of your computer administrator. Please contact your computer administrator if you have any problems.

  • No encrypted communication (TLS/SRTP): This setting allows you to connect the wwphone to an older software version of wwcommunicator.

    Encryption

We recommend activating this parameter only if necessary because the encrypted communication with the wwcommunicator is more reliable and cannot be intercepted on public Internet connections.
