Integrate LDAP phone book

In wwcommunicator > Provisioning > Devices > Special Settings, create the following entry:

LDAP server: USERNAME:ADDRESSBOOK_PASSWORD@URL_OF_THE_SYSTEM:389

  • USER = Address Book > LDAP Server > User the whole line.
  • ADDRESSBOOK_PASSWORD = Address Book > LDAP > PW the password
  • URL_OF_THE_SYSTEM: My system name.vpbx.wwcom.ch (as in the web browser without https://)

LDAP Mitel

The prerequisite for this is that LDAP address book is enabled.

If changes are made to the global phone book, the Mitel telephone must be restarted. This device loads the entire phone book into the phone shortly after startup.

Directory key

In order to call up the phone book easily, the following entry can be added in the special setting on telephones which do not have a factory key.

  • softkey1 type: directory
  • softkey1 label: Phone book

This is used to call up the phone book on a Mitel 6869i, on the first key below the display.

Configuration parameters

These can be specified under > Provisioning > Devices > Special settings. Here are some examples; further possibilities can be found in the manufacturer's manual. Examples for the devices 69xxi.

Softkey

A special feature of Mitel / Astra telephones is that the numbering of the keys is only correct if no key is omitted. Depending on the type of key, a missing designation may cause it not to be displayed.
