Example 1
Example company has four employees. These are Ms Weber, Ms Fröhlich, Mr Brenner and Mr Braun. The opening hours are: Mon-Fri from 08:00 - 12:00 and from 13:00 - 17:00. On Monday and Wednesday, Ms. Weber is responsible for calls to the main number, on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Ms. Fröhlich. Furthermore, if the person in charge does not answer the call within the first 10 seconds, the telephone should ring for 15 seconds for Ms Weber, Ms Fröhlich and Mr Brenner. If no one answers the call, an announcement should be played to the caller. Outside the opening hours, an announcement with the opening hours should play.

Example 2
Mr. Braun is on the road a lot and wants his mobile phone and his telephone in his home office to ring simultaneously after 10 seconds alongside as his office phone. If he does not answer the call for another 10 seconds, he would like to have the call diverted to the main number (0112223344).
Configuration of Mr. Braun's number:

Special participants in dial plans
- Ann./On-hold mus.: With this function, you can store an announcement at any position in the dial plan. In one step, you can choose to have only the announcement played or to specify the telephones that are to ring in parallel. In this case, the caller hears the selected announcement or on-hold music during ringing instead of the normal ringing tone. If no participants are registered, the announcement is played in full, regardless of the duration entered.
- ALLUSERS: Select this option if you want all the telephones connected to wwcommunicator to ring. (To explicitly exclude individual telephones from the ALLUSERS group, you must activate the option "This user is not a member of the dial plan group ALLUSERS" for the corresponding telephone under Users/telephones).
- ON DUTY: Rings for all those people who have set the online status to telephone service in wwphone. In this way, a company can change the responsibility for the main number (and/or other numbers) on a daily basis without having to reconfigure the switchboard.
- External numbers..: This calls the specified number for the selected duration.
- Group:Group name: Here the call goes to a group which was previously defined under Groups. It only rings for those participants who are logged in.
- IVR: These are voice response systems ("for support press 1, ..."). For details on the configuration of a voice response system, please refer to the chapter IVR.
- LINK: NUMBER: This function causes a jump to the dial plan of the selected NUMBER. The system behaves as if NUMBER had been selected instead of the original number. The entry is made in the first line of the dial plan of NUMBER that is active at the corresponding time. This function is useful, for example, if all direct numbers are to be diverted to the main number after a certain number of rings.
- Pause:1..9: This function is mainly used to adjust the connected hardware, which e.g. reacts too sluggishly. A pause according to the number in seconds is inserted before the next step in the dial plan is executed, independently of the entry under Duration.
- PUSH: To enable the push notification of the corresponding user.
- On-hold mus.: With this function, you can store on-hold music at any position in the dial plan. In contrast to Ann./On-hold mus., this is only played if participants are logged in.
LINK, IVR, announcement & mailbox
Please note: Both a LINK and an IVR will exit the original dial plan (duration has no effect). After executing the LINK or IVR, the system does not return to the original dial plan. This means that functions like Announcement after dial plan or Mailbox after dial plan are not executed for the original dial plan. With a LINK, on the other hand, the named functions are used from the dial plan accessed via LINK.
IVR
It should also be noted that a call is considered answered after an IVR has been performed. This means that dial plan steps with modes 2-5 are not executed in dial plans that were switched to via IVR.
